Single "Spend My Life With You" from his second album A Day in the Life ranked first ever R & B charts and was nominated for the American Grammy Award category Best R & B Performance by a Duo or Group in 2000. In January 2001, he was married to actress Halle Berry although eventually divorced in 2003 and in the same year played his first movie debut Glitter with Mariah Carrey.
